Some Common Sense You Should Know About Electrical Connector Pins

Table of Content [Hide]

The material of the electrical connector pins determines the insulation and conductivity of the terminal. Each electrical connector pin determines the success of the project, and the failure of any electrical connector pins will lead to the failure of the entire system project. With the continuous improvement of electronic technology, the structure and R&D technology of the terminal itself have also been innovated from generation to generation, and our country's terminal industry has also ushered in a change in the process of catching up with the development of similar foreign products.

The advantages of technological replacement and direct imitation of the technical R&D results of large terminal manufacturers have saved funds for product R&D. In the field of industrial control, electrical connector pins have become the most important accessory products. As a type of connector, terminal blocks have quickly gained popularity in the field of industrial control with their good connection performance. Electrical connector pins are now gradually widely used in various fields, including signal terminals, power terminals, connection terminals, etc., and are the connection ends in the circuit.

Electrical connector pins crimping is a technology to compress and displace the metal within the specified limit and connect the wire to the contact pair. A good crimping connection can produce metal mutual melting flow, so that the wire and contact material are symmetrically deformed. This connection is similar to a cold welding connection, which can obtain better mechanical strength and electrical continuity, and it can withstand more severe environmental conditions. It is generally believed that the correct crimping connection is better than soldering, especially in high current situations. Crimping must be used. Special crimping pliers or automatic or semi-automatic crimping machines must be used for crimping.

The positive pressure type (marked as P) of electrical connector pins refers to electrical equipment that fills the shell with clean air, inert gas or continuous clean air with positive pressure to prevent explosive mixtures from entering the shell. The oil-filled type (marked as O) refers to electrical equipment that immerses live parts that may generate sparks, arcs or dangerous temperatures in insulating oil so that they cannot ignite explosive mixtures above the oil surface. The sand-filled type (marked as Q) refers to electrical equipment that fills fine granular materials into the shell of the equipment so that the arc, flame propagation, shell wall temperature or granular surface temperature inside the shell cannot ignite the explosive mixture outside the shell.
